Guide to Adding Users in MyDoorView

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add users to the MyDoorView system, including individual and bulk user uploads.


1. Adding Users Individually

  1. Click on "Add User"
    • Navigate to the homepage and select the Add User button.
  2. Fill in the Required Fields
    • Enter the necessary details for the user.
    • Expiration date and RFID card fields are optional.
  3. Assign Entry Point Access
    • Check the box to grant the user access to the designated entry point.
  4. Submit the Data
    • Once all required fields are completed, a Submit Data button will appear in the top left corner.
    • Click Submit to finalize the addition.
    • A new user field will appear upon successful submission.

2. Bulk Uploading Users

If you need to add multiple users at once, follow these steps:

  1. Download the Sample CSV File
    • Click on Download Sample CSV File from the homepage.
  2. Enter User Data in the CSV File
    • Open the downloaded file and fill in all the necessary user details.
    • Ensure each user has a unique phone number and email address to avoid errors.
  3. Upload the CSV File
    • Save the file after entering all details.
    • Click Upload CSV File to import the user list.
  4. Confirm Upload Success
    • Within a few seconds, all user data should appear in the system.
    • Click Submit to finalize the upload.

📌 Important Note:
Duplicate entries will automatically be rejected if the same phone number or email address is already in the system.


3. User Notifications & App Access

Once a user is successfully added:

  • Users will receive a text message and an email.
    • The email will include a user guide.
    • The text message will serve as an invitation to download the MyDoorView app.
  • If a user does not want the app or if the account is MDV Light:
    • They will receive a standard non-video call from the entry point.
    • To grant access, the user can dial *9 to trigger the relay.
